We’ve built AI Ra — a language model like ChatGPT, but trained exclusively on Ra’s teachings. It can answer your Human Design questions, explain chart mechanics, and offer guidance.
The Nine Centers of the BodyGraph

In Human Design, the Centers are the nine energy hubs in the BodyGraph, each representing a specific function in your life. They are the foundation of how energy flows through you and how you interact with the world. Some Centers are defined (colored in), meaning their energy is consistent and reliable, while others are undefined (white in light mode, black in dark mode), meaning they are open to influence and amplification from others. Understanding these Centers is key to recognizing your strengths, vulnerabilities, and potential for wisdom.
Head Center (Pressure)
The Head is the source of mental pressure, driving inspiration, questions, and doubt. It’s where ideas and concepts are born. If defined, you have a consistent way of processing inspiration. If undefined, you may feel pressure to answer everyone’s questions or solve problems that aren’t yours to solve.
Ajna Center (Awareness)
The Ajna governs mental awareness, analysis, and conceptualization. It’s where you process and organize information. A defined Ajna means you have a fixed way of thinking and processing ideas. An undefined Ajna may lead to trying to appear certain or convincing others of your ideas, even when you’re not sure yourself.
Throat Center (Manifestation and Communication)
The Throat is the hub of expression and manifestation. It’s where energy from other Centers is expressed through words or actions. A defined Throat means you have a consistent way of communicating. An undefined Throat may lead to seeking attention or feeling pressure to speak or act to be noticed.
G Center (Identity, Direction, and Love)
The G Center is the seat of identity, love, and direction in life. A defined G Center means you have a stable sense of self and direction. An undefined G Center may lead to seeking identity or direction through others, or adapting to the environments you’re in.
Heart (Ego) Center (Motor)
The Heart governs willpower, ego, and material resources. A defined Heart means you have consistent access to willpower and a strong sense of value. An undefined Heart may lead to trying to prove your worth or overcommitting to gain recognition.
Sacral Center (Motor)
The Sacral is the powerhouse of life force energy, governing work, sexuality, and creativity. Only Generators and Manifesting Generators have a defined Sacral, giving them consistent access to energy for work and life. An undefined Sacral may lead to overworking or not knowing when enough is enough.
Solar Plexus Center (Awareness and Motor)
The Solar Plexus governs emotional awareness and energy. A defined Solar Plexus means you experience emotional waves and need time to gain clarity. An undefined Solar Plexus may lead to avoiding confrontation or amplifying others’ emotions.
Spleen Center (Awareness)
The Spleen governs intuition, survival instincts, and health. A defined Spleen means you have consistent access to intuitive awareness and a sense of well-being. An undefined Spleen may lead to holding onto things or people for a sense of security, even when they’re not healthy for you.
Root Center (Pressure and Motor)
The Root is the source of physical pressure and adrenaline energy. A defined Root means you handle pressure in a consistent way and can use it as motivation. An undefined Root may lead to feeling constant pressure to get things done or to relieve stress.
Each Center has its own role and potential for conditioning. Defined Centers are your strengths, while undefined Centers are where you are open to influence and can gain wisdom. By understanding your Centers and following your Strategy and Authority, you can navigate life with greater alignment and authenticity. The Centers are not just mechanical—they are the essence of how you experience and express life.
