Extended Curriculum 1: History, Global Cycles, and 2027

There is nothing so eye-opening as the discovery and recognition that we are all deeply imprinted by our environment; and that it is in our nature and Design to be receptive to this imprinting. The Program is no longer a mystery, but something to be studied and empirically tested—and proven—in its effects on our daily lives.

As our challenges are destined to intensify with the changes to come, it is now more than ever vitally important to learn how to navigate the transition through awareness and authenticity. Infrastructures are struggling to remain viable, there is a great deal of emotional turbulence in the world, and the primal behavior of our species is re-emerging. Join Ra to learn more about the breakdown and reorganization of societal infrastructure as we near 2027.

2027 marks the beginning of a mutation that will open the way to a new form of being—the Rave. Yet this coming transformation also has a powerful impact on humanity now. Ra discusses key factors in this regard, such as the rise of autism, changes in fertility and reproduction, and the transformation of the Solar Plexus. He expands upon how all of these relate specifically to our evolutionary process, and our preparation for the upcoming mutation.

The four stages of this progressive transformation will take place over several hundreds of years. They include modifications to our relationship with animals as food sources; to our social bonds, bargains, and contractual agreements with one another; and to the nature of the emotional wave itself.

Within the Human Design community, we often hear about the year 2027 and the coming mutation.

At this point, it’s obvious why the discussion of changing global cycles is such an important aspect of this knowledge. As we move closer to 2027, collectively we are going through a fundamental change in how our societies have been structured and maintained.

For over 400 years, our species has been living based on the conditioning pattern of the Cross of Planning, a global cycle that brought a rapid expansion of knowledge and survival through tribal support. What will happen when the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix starts a new global cycle in 2027, and our current way of living comes to an end? With a look at “Locks and Keys”, Human Design gives us a mechanical explanation for how to approach the coming changes that will affect us globally at a deep level.

Unknown to most, humanity is impacted by what Human Design refers to as the Program, a programming environment described by Ra as a formula without intent. That is, the Program is not some force creating a world that will guide and care for us as individuals, but a homogenizing influence that consistently impacts the way in which we operate.

According to Ra, with the changes in 2027 on the horizon, “The Program is no longer interested in us. We are expendable. And we are expendable for the benefit of what’s coming. It’s just an evolved formula that has nothing to do with us and isn’t interested in us as humans.”

For the past 400 years, the Program has provided a background frequency through the Cross of Planning that has provided for us, and through Tribal rules, has supported the development of the civilization in which we live. But this Cross is now changing.

All of the basic Tribal bargains we have lived by were intended to support our infrastructures and provide us with the essentials for survival and growth. Now we are leaving behind that Tribal approach, in which we maintained our well-being through bargains, bonds, and communities. We are entering an age without the societal benefits we’ve had for hundreds of years. What does this mean to us, and how do we manage to live our lives in this coming new age of individuality?

Everything about the nature of life as we know it has been determined by the human experiential way, rooted in the emotionality of the Solar Plexus.

In the BodyGraph, this dynamic is depicted in the movement from the 41st Gate to the 35th Gate; it begins with a fantasy that becomes a desire which then turns into a powerful urge that can ultimately be fulfilled through manifesting. What makes this process so powerful is that it’s driven by the emotional motor of the Solar Plexus and its wave motion — the ups and downs of the emotional wave that accompany the experiential way.

This fundamental aspect to our emotional experience is about to change as we are getting closer to 2027, and the mutation of the Solar Plexus Center. This mutation will usher in an era of spirit awareness as the Solar Plexus turns into an Awareness Center, and completes our process. A main aspect of this mutation is that the motor driving the emotional process will no longer function. How will this change our experience? How will our cognitive potential be impacted when we can experience life through three Centers of awareness?

In 2008, Ra Uru Hu delivered a lecture on what he termed Homo Sapiens in Transitus, discussing humanity's transition from seven-centered beings to nine-centered beings, a shift that began in 1781.

He explored the profound implications this transformation has had on our awareness, physical longevity, and societal structures. Ra emphasized that we stand at the threshold of a new era, where our species is still heavily influenced by the ultra-strategic, survival-focused nature of our seven-centered past, while also beginning to unlock the receptive awareness and extended lifespans characteristic of nine-centered beings.

With the backdrop of the Cross of Planning fading, Ra highlights the tension between tribal survival mechanisms and the development of deeper consciousness. He encourages the importance of understanding this evolutionary shift, particularly in recognizing how humanity remains tied to a fading past. The path forward, he informs, lies in individual empowerment and self-guided decision-making.

It sounds like something from a science-fiction novel — an extraordinarily different human species born of humans, who Ra prophesized would begin to appear on earth after 2027. "The Rave" is a term for these beings who will not operate from the mind, but are designed to operate in fully conscious "Pentas" — an entity that we can hardly conceive of being. If you are new to Human Design, the Penta is a Trans-personal Form. The Penta Aura is formed when there are three to five individuals in regular proximity to each other.

Through the lens of planetary movements through the Gates, Human Design offers us insight into our past, and how past developments affect our present and future. It’s fascinating to realize that history has never been looked at from the perspective of global cycles or planetary transits through the Gates of the Rave I’Ching. What does this new lens reveal about the way humanity has evolved?

That insight is at the heart of Rave History 1: The Plutonic Interregnum, the first course in a three-part series on Rave history. Why the focus on Pluto? Because Pluto entered the 41st Gate in 1781 and ushered in the Cross of Planning; it will enter the 41st Gate once again in 2027, ushering in the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix.

Because Pluto transits a Gate for three to seven years, an entire generation will be carrying that imprint. This course elaborates on how those born during a specific point in Pluto’s transit carry a unique imprint that affects the evolution of culture and society.

Global cycles determine how humanity evolves. The Cross of Planning is the current cycle that has governed how society functions for over 400 years. In 2027 this cycle will shift into a new era under the influence of the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix, which will fundamentally change our way of life.

Human Design’s look at the Lock and Key Gates of the Mandala gives us a specific way to map out how humanity has evolved through different epochs, and will continue to evolve as we move into a new era based on 9-Centered awareness.

Evolutionary theory and the development of humanity are usually derived from historical and archeological findings. Human Design gives us the opportunity to see our past, present, and future step by step through Global Cycles.

How is this possible?

By covering over 19,000 years, starting with Gate 1 and ending with Gate 64, Ra takes us on a journey of our species’ evolutionary movement— from where we have come from, to where we are now, and where we are headed.

Once the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix ushers in major changes with the beginning of a new cycle starting in 2027, we will see the emergence of another form referred to as “Raves” in Human Design. Raves will co-exist with humans while we complete our process.

Most of us will see the changes this transition brings in our lifetime. We see the harbingers of it now, for example, in the increasing number of autistic children born. Humanity is being moved by evolutionary pressure to rise above the mammalian domain that established Tribal customs and culminates in the Individual mutative process and its potential for awakening.

"The Rave" is a term for the beings who will emerge from this evolutionary shift; they will function differently from humans and while they share our BodyGraph, will have a different cognitive process that is the completion of our evolutionary track. What does the future hold for those of us born before 2027? What will our role be in this evolutionary process, and what challenges will we face?

Each planet is a filtering agent for certain kinds of information. In mythology as we know it, Pluto has been qualified as Yang, or masculine energy. But according to Ra it is Yin, and embodies the greatest mutative power of the feminine. Pluto is the grandmother of a Yin revival, with a new mythology being created together with her daughters, Sedna and Eris. And together they will transform the nature of society as we know it.

The generation of young adults born in late 2005 and carrying either the Cross of Eden or the Cross of Service, will come of age in 2027, with both Crosses carrying a key to our collective future. Ra describes them as the alpha and the omega—with the Cross of Eden being the mutative potential carrier of the Raves that begin to incarnate in 2027, and the Cross of Service being the marker of the beginning of the end of human fertility.

A key to both of these groups is knowledge: knowledge regarding the potential birthing and parenting of Raves; their uniquely different generational characteristics and what this symbolizes for our species; and their significance as an initial marker for both Rave production and the end of our human reproductive capacity.
